Ordering: Due to logistical concerns, we require a minimum purchase of $3500. Because of seasonal growing conditions beyond our control, we may substitute up or down one size grade without notice. We ask that spring orders be placed prior to February 1st so that we are able to complete digging prior to your desired shipment date.
Cancellations: Due to the high volume of plants we are required to ship out in a matter of weeks, digging must be completed in advance. We require that all cancellations for spring orders be made prior to December 1st for spring ship dates. Cancellations after this date are subject to review and may affect future bookings with our company.
Shipping: Please indicate an approximate shipping date on your purchase order. We dig according to this date to ensure plants are ready on time. We require 7-10 days advance notice on all shipment dates. Footage estimates will be listed at the bottom of your confirmation. We require that all spring orders be picked up prior to May 1st. Customer is responsible for arranging trucking.
Terms of Sale: All new customer orders must be paid in full prior to shipping or have submitted a credit application to establish 30 day terms. Past due accounts may be charged interest at a rate of 2% monthly (24% apr) on any unpaid balance and are subject to further collection actions and/or revocation of current terms. In the event that an account becomes past due, any previously agreed upon discounts will become voided. Should an account be placed with our collection agency, buyer will be responsible for all collection fees, collection agency fees, and attorney fees.
Warranty/Claims: Schiedel Nursery guarantees all nursery stock to be in good condition when placed with carrier for transportation. Our responsibility for care of plant ceases once stock is delivered to carrier. It is our recommendation that plants be transported on a refrigerated unit. Any plants shipped on a OTR dry van or dry rail car will be void of any warranties. In the event that you should have an issue with a plant you receive, all claims must be made in writing within 14 days of receipt of shipment and include photos of the plant in question. Claims made in regards to damage to plants during transportation must be made directly to carrier. At no time will Schiedel Nursery be held responsible for any amount over the purchase price of the plant. Approved credits will be issued against the current outstanding balance or as a credit against any future orders. We do not issue cash refunds.
